An additional amount of $500.00 per family will be assessed and is included in the above amounts to all families who are not registered in our parish or who have no record of contributions to the parish through the Sunday envelope system. Tuition may be paid in full or by payments through SMART TUITION MANAGEMENT on a monthly (10 payments) or bi-annual (2 payments) schedule. Fees are non-refundable. Mandatory Fund Raising Events Three fund-raising events are mandatory for all SHS families as well as your designated committee commitment. ● Fall Raffle - Each family will be required to sell or buy 25 tickets @ $10.00 per ticket. ● Winter Event - An evening of entertainment is held for which there is a requirement to purchase 2 tickets. ● Spring Auction - A Spring Auction is held that all families are required to participate through contributing an item worth at least $50.00 and purchasing at least 4 tickets. Please Note: Parents with pre-school aged children only, will be required to participate in either the Fall Raffle or the Spring Auction. Parental Commitment We ask that each family at Sacred Heart assist in at least two activities related to school other than the auction. This will generally require 8 hours or less and the qualifying activities are many and varied. There is no "buyout" fee for this commitment. Tuition Assistance: Parents who sincerely want a Catholic education for their children but who are not able to meet the tuition schedule, will always have the opportunity to seek financial assistance. Parents may apply for tuition assistance through the F.A.C.T.S. program on an annual basis. The pastor is always available to discuss the situation. Tuition assistance applications and subsequent arrangements are valid only for the year in which they are made and is available only to parishioners. Tuition assistance is not available to parishioners who have children only in preschool or for the extended care program. Parents who are receiving tuition assistance must take advantage of Manna and other savings programs, and should be able to apply the money saved from these programs to help pay their tuition. Delinquent Tuition: Sacred Heart School utilizes the services of SMART Tuition Management to administer the collection of tuition. Tuition and any applicable fees will be added to make one total. This total will be divided into two installments, ten monthly installments or may be paid in one total payment at the beginning of the year. The first payment is due in August and the last due in May. SMART will send reminder letters for delinquencies at predetermined intervals. A late fee of $10.00 will be assessed after tuition is ten days late and monthly thereafter and will become part of the outstanding balance due. It is expected at the end of the first semester that all tuition up to that point is paid in full. Any family with an outstanding tuition balance of two (2) months or more, places their continued attendance at Sacred Heart School for the next semester in jeopardy. All tuition accounts must be current at the end of the current semester. Parents of eighth graders having an outstanding tuition balance will be sent a letter at the beginning of May notifying them that the student will not be able to participate in the graduation ceremony unless their account is up to date. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, a letter will be sent to parents with outstanding tuition accounts advising them that they have until the end of the school year, prior to the final report card, to bring their account up to date. Final report card will not be released until the account is up to date. Students will not be allowed to attend Sacred Heart School the following year if an outstanding balance exists even if the student is registered. |
